Much of the hay produced in Nevada is exported to the Pacific Rim, where it is sought after for its beautiful color and sweet flavor.
A huge hydraulic press is used to squeeze a regular bale down to half of its size, eliminating all of the air. This process is the equivalent of vacuum packing for a hay product. This procedure keeps the hay fresher longer and holds the leaf and robust aroma of our Sierra Nevada grown hays. |
The
double- compression technique has been in use in only the last few
years and was developed for use in export.
